Department of History - Profile

   The Department of History was established at the very inception of the college in 1984. It has been the hub of excellence through innovation. Many dedicated and committed lecturers have been actively associated with the department teaching History, imparting sound knowledge and moulding the character of the students. ‘The more you know about the past the better prepared you are for the future’ has always been the motto of the faculty.

The department of HIstory has a clear vision to empower the students with value based holistic education and transform them as enlightened citizens of the country with global standards through incessant pursuit of excellence. we also work to get outstanding academic performance with quest for excellence in teaching, learning and research to impart, sustain and apply knowledge and skills in an interdisciplinary environment with consideration for ethical, social and ecological values to carve out professionals of integrity and character for nation building.
